Last of the Series of Blackthorn Brothers and no disappointment with this final chapter of their tale. I first became a firm Kasey Michaels' fan with The Becket's of Romney Marsh. That series showcased her wonderful talent for intriguing Historical romance. Webs of intrigue kept me coming back for more twisted paths. So entertaining. I read 1000's of romances. And certainly that can lead to boredom if they fall into a standard formula, so I'm looking for the difference with great appreciation. Blackthorn Brothers have it in spades. Starting with the first Brother Beau, Kasey Michaels set up the rest of the intrigue and hooked me; continuing with Puck, had me impatiently waiting for the answers to those nagging questions and finishing with Don John..Jack and Tess. I fell for the intrigues and couldn't see all the paths till almost the end of the series and that is the work of a Good author. Now I read Romance, You might take note, and if there isn't any romance it's a problem. Kasey Michaels Can deliver the Romance. Jack deserves Tess, ditto Tess. If you miss this author's work, your loss. I've read every series I can find of Kasey Michaels. I'm not all the way through her earlier shorter classics that are being ebook'd but that gives me something to work on while I'm waiting for her next intriguing series. I have read many, many books in my life, but this has to be the worst one! The plot is confusing ,the characters dull,the most absurd story I have ever read! I wonder why authors are allowed to publish such garbage and called it a book! No more Kasey Michaels books for me! I bought 3 books recently and had to throw them away.

Not as good as her Romney Marsh Series. After several tries trying to get through the book, I gave up.
This was an excellent trilogy. I love Kelsey Michaels, she is an exceptional author. From her Alphabet series, which I've not completed yet, to this series she is unbelievable. The story wraps up the loose ends of the bastards of Blackthorn and we see Adelaide get her comeuppance. Which was delightful. The story had its high and low points. Mystery, even an attempted kidnapping, murder and revenge. Although so many bad parents makes you wonder. Anyway, I'm not reviewing this book to add to the word count just to get that 5 star rating out there.
I liked the book and the series. Excellent reading I do think that it is redundant to keep asking me to review these books over and over again. Once I have made a positive review I think you should stop asking me to keep reviewing. I read this book a long time ago. There might have been some violence but I cannot remember. I will probably read this book again because it was a good read. Thanks.
I refuse to detail entire story lines in my review! I loved all Blackthorn brothers tho. Laughed hard during Beau/Oliver's road trip and shenanigans, loved Puck and his wry humor through all 3 books, cried at the heartbreak and uncertainty of Jack's love story. The humor and love between the brothers was very real. The dialogue through all 3 books and plot development was/is exceptional. The titles can be misleading at first (see other reviews) but this isn't Rocket Science folks! The cover photos are really my only complaint, looking nothing like any of the characters and shown in no poses from their stories. Thankfully I looked for the author's name for the Quality Stories! Keep them coming Kasey! Thanks!
